I now get twice as much dev time in the day!
One important thing to note though if you aren't seeing much of a difference, you need to
TURN OFF SITE WARMUP PLUGINS ON DEV
So this doesn't mean turning off the module. Although you could do that, the problem is you then can't build any extensions.
You just need to go into the Advanced settings and disable each warmup item itself. By default there's just the DefaultSiteMap, but you might have extended it with custom types.
